A song from the Darwin/Thursday Island tradition played by Tony Suttor. The tune comes from legendary musican and songman Jaffa Ah Mat.
Tony Suttor has been a prominent member of the folk community for many decades both as a performer and administrator.
Tony's musical career includes playing with well-known bush bands, performer and musician at Old Sydney Town, freelance performer in schools and various musical trips around Australia, finally settling in Darwin. He has also been an administrator in the arts field.
Many thanks to Jeff Corfield for his extensive recordings and preservation of this early music.
