I bought 1970s Data General Mini Computers!
The opportunity crossed my path to get two amazing pieces of computer history and I was in the perfect position to make it happen. So, I did.
This video ended up being more of the video I wish I could find before picking these up. It was really hard to find any information/pictures of the backside at all and definitely how you remove things from the racks. That I can't stress enough, the HDDs must be unscrewed from the rails and lifted away.
But anyway, these are really awesome. I'm so excited to start working towards bringing these back up and running. There are a lot of parts that need a lot of attention though, so this is going to be a very long process. And this isn't common like a C64, if I break something, it would take years to find a replacement and would be very expensive. So there is no rush.
If you want to see what is here in a little more detail, I put a thread up on VCFed about it which pictures linked at the bottom of the first post: http://www.vcfed.org/forum/showthread.php?73143-New-to-Minicomputers-with-Data-General-Nova-4-X-and-microNova-8561
