What's going on friends?!? It's your old pal Sean Pierce Johnson here and welcome back to Stompbox Saturday. Today, we celebrate the life of Howard Alexander Dumble by taking a look at a pedal that seeks to recreate the experience of playing a Dumble Steel String Singer: the Vertex Steel String Supreme SRV or Slight Return Version.
An expanded version of Vertex's popular Steel String Clean Drive the Steel String Supreme adds on a "Supreme" EQ circuit designed to maximize the flexibility of the original pedal's format. But the Slight Return Version is a bit special...inspired by the tones of Stevie Ray Vaughn this SSS features the Slight Return Version of the Steel String Clean Drive and a tweaked "Supreme" EQ.
The results: a fat, mean and kinda clean tone that is sweet to hear and a blast to play! I hope you all enjoy this video as much as I enjoyed making it.
