This video starts with the simplest stator structure of a machine (as realized in Lecture 1) and logically progresses to generating a rotating magnetic field. Several animations are presented to solidify the understanding. Cases of generating a revolving field for a general m-phase machine and a 2-phase machine are also discussed.
