seadoo 951 rebuild setting the squish gap clearance

This is how I set the squish value for my 951 to obtain the proper compression. You basically

1- assemble the calendars and head without gaskets with solder inside. Torque to spec.
2- turn the engine to smash the solder
3- disassemble the engine to recover the solder
4- measure the solder to determine the gap size of the squish band
5- add the thickness of the base gasket and head gasket and you will have your squish gap clearance

*you can have more than the spec but engine output will not be as powerful due to lower compression. Going larger will however increase the pressure inside the cylinders which will increase reliability in the department. Mine was just a little bit higher than the spec which is fine.
