Prime Time With Ravish Kumar, March 11, 2019 | Is It Wrong To Question The Government?

Ravish Kumar asks whether a ruling government should be antagonistic towards anyone raising questions on the quality or availability of public services. While addressing a rally in Gujarat, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that 'social initiatives' such as building cow shelters, charitable hostels, libraries has been our 'tradition'. However, he added that the power of such co-operative social initiatives has gotten 'suppressed' over a period of time and the state governments are taking over most activities.

On today's Prime Time, we take a look at the condition of libraries and the difficulties that students undergo to get access to a library. While the Prime Minister is right in saying that co-operative social initiatives are to be encouraged, isn't it the government's responsibility to provide enough amenities for students?
