Applying PNWMINIac Member Numbers

PNWMINIacs Member, John Fong, shows MINIacs how to apply their PNWMINIacs Member Numbers onto their MINIs.

Step by Step Directions: Applying Your PNWMINIacs Number DECAL

1. Pick a spot on your MINI where you would like your PNWMINIacs Member Number. Clean this spot on your MINI thoroughly with rubbing alcohol or soap and water. Then let dry completely.

2. Align the decal in the desired location & apply a strip of painters tape at the side of the decal to hold in place & use as a hinge.

3. With a Credit Card, rub the decal back and forth to help the number stick to the clear transfer tape with the red grid. Peel the clear transfer tape away from the blue paper backing. If the decal doesn’t release from the blue paper backing, lay the transfer tape back down and rub the decal with a Credit Card to get it to stick to the clear transfer tape with the red grid. Remove the blue paper backing. Be careful to not let the decal touch the application surface - it wants to stick where it touches.

4. While holding the decal away from the surface, slowly squeegee in a sideways motion from the taped end towards the untaped end to apply the decal. A Credit Card can be used for this.

5. Once firmly adhered to the application surface, pull the transfer tape away slowly at an angle from the surface. If the decal begins to stick to the clear transfer tape, stop and then place it down again on the application surface and rub with a Credit Card to help the decal stick to the surface. Sometimes it helps to rub the decal directly onto the surface as you are slowly peeling the transfer tape away from the decal.

Tips: Do not apply to surfaces that are hot to the touch; or if in direct sunlight. Minimum application temperature of 46 degrees.
