Galapagos Visiting Tips (visit during Covid-19 pandemic, 2021) | How to come, explore & save money

So, you would like to visit Galapagos Islands but unsure how? Especially now in this Covid-19 pandemic the situation can be complicated. But, do not worry. Find the information you need in this video (how to come, to explore, and save money there!), and hopefully it can help you plan your trip of a lifetime to Galapagos!

Tips for entering:
-If doing tour right after your flight, better have your tour operator book the flight for you, then if something happens to the flight or tour, rescheduling can be easier
-During the pandemic, request your tour operator or accomodation provider to arrange a Salvoconducto
-For doing the PCR test in Ecuador mainland to enter Galapagos, only do it at authorized lab by Galapagos' authority (see link further below)

Tips for exploring:
-Explore the towns, villages and surrounding are with public transport (taxi), by bike, or on foot
-To see more of Galapagos and its wildlife, take boat tours from town and do plenty of great activities (snorkeling, diving, hiking)
-To really see Galapagos' remote corners and the wildlife in all its glory, take multi-day cruise trips (very expensive, but totally worth it!)

Tips for saving money:
-Bring supplies from the mainland
-Eat at small food stalls, a bit away from the town center
-Pick accommodation with kitchen and/or free/cheap bike rental
-Camping instead of staying in hotel
