Rooted in the raw and unfiltered sonic traditions of the Thar desert, Thar Ro Prem is a living testament to Marvari folk heritage. The album captures ancient melodies and spiritual expressions in their most organic form, celebrating the rich musical legacy of Sindh’s desert culture.

This heartfelt folk album is a collaboration between Mai Dhai — one of the desert’s most iconic voices — and Ustad Ameer Ali, a master composer and harmonium player known for shaping the traditional Marvari sound. They are joined by Mai Dhai’s son, Ahsan Ali, on dholak, with additional percussive textures by Joshua Amjad, creating a soundscape that bridges generations.

Recorded live in a single take at Gangwar Studios, the album stays true to the oral folk tradition. With no studio layering or effects, it delivers pure, spontaneous musical expression — shaped by emotion, ritual, and the resilient spirit of nomadic desert life.
