Most of us grew up never hearing those words from our parents. They believed that we’d lose respect for their authority if they admitted to us that they were wrong. But exact the opposite. We respect and trust people more when they take full accountability for their mistakes.
Next time you have to apologise for a mistake, just go right at it. The cleanest and fastest way to establish a working relationship is to acknowledge the negative and diffuse it. #shorts
