1)Wifi internet
2)SD or Micro SD card any size, but preferably large capacity 32GB and above for game storage. You can use the one that came with the 3DS and upgrade later by formatting the new SD card to FAT32 and copy your old SD card to the new one.
3)SD card reader if your PC doesn't have an SD card reader
