Corrupt MEXICAN Police Officers Demand Money (Van Life in Mexico)

After spending 6 incredible weeks in Baja California, we were feeling ready to cross the border back into the US and begin our road trip to Alaska. But less than a mile from the border, we found ourselves down a blocked road, with an unfortunate police encounter waiting just around the corner. This is one of those things you read about but never think will happen to you. We navigated the situation as best as we could, despite their attempts to stop Ben and I talking to each other and threatening us with jail and court if we didn't pay.
