The iPad Pro 13 inch 256GB Storage model comes with the new M5 Apple chip that has better CPU performance and also better GPU performance than the previous iPad M4 model.
The biggest reason to chose the M5 vs M4 iPad is the 12GB or RAM on the new iPad Pro M5 base model of 256GB or 512GB while the 1TB and 2TB iPad Pro M5 don't get an upgrade and stay the same as the iPad Pro M4 1TB and 2TB with 16GB of RAM.

I didn't want to spend so much to buy the iPad Pro M5 or M4 1TB and was ready to buy the iPad Air M3 with 8GB same as the iPad Pro M4 256GB until I realized that the new iPad Pro M5 base models start at 12GB RAM instead of 8GB.

Bought the 13 Inch iPad model because I don't really need to travel with an iPad and especially in Windowed mode on iOS 26 or iPad OS 26 it's great to have more screen space.

After doing an unboxing showing the included parts which is really just the iPad Pro and the USB-C to USB-C charging cable. The cable is thin so it doesn't look like a fast data cable but I hope I'm wrong on this one!

After unboxing it I made another video with the iPad Pro M5 step-by-step first time setup as a new device without restoring form backup and without using an iPhone to speed-up the setup steps.

During the setup when you log into your apple account I received a 6 digit code that I had to enter on the iPad and if I didn't have any other Apple devices I guess that code would be sent by email or as an SMS.

Once signed in I could install free apps without having to pay and I did have to confirm apps installations using Face ID and by doing a double tap on the power button to install the app.

I also bought the Apple Pencil Pro to use with the iPad Pro but I didn't by the Apple Magic keyboard for iPad as I believe it's pretty expensive for what it is.

I bought a folio case and screen protector which didn't arrive yet but will be here soon.

I also got the Apple Pencil Pro for using it on the new iPad Pro M5 for taking notes, drawing, photo editing and video editing.
