Ford Lincoln Mercury remote start alarm parking lamp circuit interface round switch

It you're doing an installation of an alarm or remote start on a newer Ford based vehicle, and don't want to run wires to the bcm, or want to retain auto lamps, but have only parking lamps on during remote start, then this is the information you need. There's one wire which rests at ground and goes open circuit, and another wire that grounds when turning on the parking lamps. If the vehicle has auto lamps, there's another wire which will need to be separated as well, and shows ground when in the auto position. 1 or 2 relays will be needed depending on your installation. This information applies to any fords with the round switch and square connector on the back. Power probes work best to find the correct wires. Suspect wires are usually white/purple and gray, but always test your wires.
