Tidewater Inc. has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Wilson Sons Ultratug Participações S.A. for approximately $500 million, a strategic move designed to dominate the Brazilian offshore energy market. This all-cash and debt-assumption deal will nearly quintuple the company's local presence, expanding its fleet in the region from six to 28 vessels. Expected to close in mid-2026, the transaction is projected to generate $220 million in annual revenue and immediately improve earnings and cash flow per share. Management plans to leverage the acquired company's $441 million contract backlog and local manufacturing advantages to secure a leading position in a high-growth sector.
