So during my recent visit to the beautiful island of Kefalonia I managed to squeeze in some time to go and do some filming. This video is filmed over the course of a few days from 2 different locations. One location you'll see is filmed from a pool & bar area of "Mouikis Village" which is up on the hillside in the small town of Lakithra. From there you get incredible views over the entire airfield and the full length of the runway. So a few shots are filmed from there. Then on Thursday (which is a busy airport day) I decided to head down to the beach at the end of RWY32. For some proper, up close and personal planespotting! A great location to see both the days arrivals and departures. Then to finish off with there's a shot filmed from just outside the terminal building, while waiting to board our flight, of an Enter Air 737 starting its engines and taxiing.

All parts of the video other than within these parts are close up from the end of the runway or at the airport itself!

The Island of Kefalonia is simply beautiful, the scenery, beaches and of course the wonderful Greek people make for a great visit every time. If you want to help the Greek economy then continue going on holiday there and don't let the media scaremonger you into thinking of choosing another destination! Carry on being a tourist, that's what the locals need! They rely on you for their business, so they'll always be happy to see you and help you. I highly recommend "Mouikis Village" which is the apartments, pool, bar & restaurant area on the hillside over looking the airport.
