Hail Cannon In Action

Never seen a hail cannon before, it's the narrow funnel looking thing in the center of the frame about 100 yards down the hill. I was out storm chasing and asked the landowner what the loud booms were. He told me that had hail cannons firing because of the approaching thunderstorms.They will rattle your windows if you get too close.
