The Galactic Empire was the main force in the Star Wars galaxy during the Galactic Civil War. Although they would eventually fall to the Rebel Alliance and the New Republic, their sheer size - including thousands of Star Destroyers and Billions of Storm Troopers - along with the leadership of Palpatine and Vader, made them highly dangerous.

The Covenant was a major faction in the Milky Way Galaxy, specifically the Orion Arm, during the events of the Halo Trilogy. They were led by the fanatical Prophets, who used the Elites and the Brutes, to try to achieve the Great Journey.
