FOCUSRITE SCARLETT 18I20 3RD GENERATION SOUND DEMO - AIR-FEATURE - MIXING (no talking)

The Focusrite Scarlett 18i20 audio interface features eight microphone preamps with the air functionality that is known from classic focusrite hardware. In this video we compare the sound of the flat preamps with the sound of the air activated preamps while recording eight channels of drums. In variations 1 and 2, air is completely deacitivated/activated on the whole kit. In variations 3 and 4 air, is only activated on OH/room channels and on direct channels for kick and snare. Starting at 1:30, included plug-ins are used to enhance the sound of the drums.
