Holden VE SS Ute Brakes Upgrade - Rotors and Braided Brake Lines

We show you how to replace standard brake rotors and fit new brake lines in your Holden Commodore VE SS or Pontiac G8 for superior stopping power and performance. We have selected DBA 4000 T3 slotted brake rotors and custom built stainless steel braided lines as used in the Australian V8 ute racing series. Braided brake lines are a serious consideration to prevent brake failure associated with the standard rubber hoses and to support higher temperature brake fluids under track racing conditions. We always use high temperature boiling brake fluid from Penrite - Ten Tenths.

After three track days and 150,000kms of previous wear and tear, our stock brake rotors were completely heat soaked and worn out. Slotted brake rotors help extract gases and pad residue from the surface of the rotor and the DBA 4000 rotors are an affordable and high performance rotor based on our experience with our Holden VF Commodore race car.

Our track ute has been designed and built to compete in track days across Australia and this is the second stage in our brake upgrades as we have previously fitted Ferodo DSP performance brake pads.
