How to (Legally) Go to Space | FAA Human Spaceflight Rules Explained

This video is going to only focus on the regulations around the United States Federal Aviation Administration’s Operator Licenses with approval to carry a crew. Some of the footage you see here is from NASA, but that is only being used to show related or similar circumstances. Figuring out whose license you need is pretty simple. Is your mission flying NASA astronauts? If Yes, you need a NASA Human Rating and an FAA Operator License with approval to carry crew. If no, then you just need an FAA Operator License with approval to carry a crew. Currently, this video is related to SpaceX's Crew Dragon, Boeing's Starling, Virgin Galactic's SpaceShipTwo, and Blue Origin's New Shepard. In the future, these regulations will need to be followed for the Polaris Program's first launch on a SpaceX Starship and the eventual crew vehicle for Rocket Lab's Neutron rocket.
