2017 Chevy Equinox Transfer Case failure, Case damaged on right side, from inside out

Customer was noticing oil dripping from the undercarriage. Vehicle was towed in and found fluid coming from the transfer. The transfer case has exploded from the inside out from internal mechanical failure. Residual fluid was black and grey metallic debris. Metal fragments on the drain plug magnet. No signs of prior external leaks or impact damages. No record of the transfer case service with a vehicle having over 100,000 miles on it. Recommending a transfer case.
