Day 11 on the Mississippi sees our big family readying for another day of canoeing. Our adventure continues as we embrace the chaos and fun of paddling with kids.

This day also gave us something we have never seen before… the Paddle of Fate was activated twice in the same day. First by the Tabor Tribe, who not only left the kids an inspiring note but also spun cowboy camping as our fate. Later in the day, Katie spun the wild card and now gets to decide what we will do next.

Along the way we discovered a tiny frog on the riverbank, spotted what might have been bear tracks, reached the 200-mile milestone of our journey, and even met someone at camp who had a cannon! And yes, we got to use it. The day ended with all of us cowboy camping under a pavilion in Palisades Park, exactly as the Paddle of Fate dictated.

Every day out here is a mix of challenge, discovery, and chaos made fun. From our longest paddle yet of 25 miles yesterday, to surprise wildlife, unexpected people, and the twists of the Paddle of Fate, the river is constantly reminding us that adventure comes in many forms.
