Page Speed Insights - The Complete Guide

This guide is meant to broadly go over everything you need to know about Page Speed insights Broadly. The test is very focused on limiting the impact of third-party assets and reducing JavaScript workload.

Page Speed Insights requires your site to be light-weight in terms of overall code, images, and delivering assets as efficiently as possible. Simply combing and minifying your CSS/JS will not get you a 90+ score. In fact, most websites without major refactoring will never be able to score in the 90+ range.

Note: Page Speed Insights is out of date in terms of lighthouse and thus future reports will see major changes in your website's performance.

Page Speed Insights is also not used for determining page rank in Google, and is not used in the new search console speed report functionality.
