Have you ever met a truly captivating leader? Someone who is so charismatic and inspiring that you would follow them no matter where it took you?

For those of us who are lucky enough to say yes, we know that there is truly something special about this person. They possess qualities that are hard to define, but impossible to miss. All you have to do is look at the person in action and you’re struck by how effortless they make it look. No matter what is thrown at them, they always seem to handle it with grace and, better yet, they seem to thrive in the challenge. Their vision is clear and could be explained to anyone. They are mature, treat everyone with respect, and motivate their followers towards a common goal.

To others, this seems like magic. We imagine… what bloodrite did they have to pay in order to be so in command of their world?

But it’s no trick. And you could learn how to do it too. Whether they know it or not, these leaders all possess a common framework that they use to make every moment count, to be in charge of their emotions, to be proactive in dealing with problems.

The framework has a name, and it’s existed for millennia. It’s called Stoicism, and it’s also one of the most commonly misunderstood philosophical ideals.

Many people would describe someone who buries their emotions as stoic. However, this doesn’t really tell the right story. Stoicism isn’t about denying emotion, and it isn’t some doctrine of toxic masculinity. It’s rather a framework for managing your emotions, and being in command of them, instead of letting them be in command of you.

And there are well-documented methods to help you do this. It isn’t a magic trick. But it will take work.

In this video, we’re going to walk through what the ideals of stoicism are, how they relate to leadership and business, and how you could start integrating some of these powers into your own life.
