Yuko and I finally had the opportunity to get out and film (in 3D 180 VR) our Asakusa friends doing traditional style Japanese dance in front of my ZCAM 3D camera (stereoscopic) !
This one featuring beautiful Ayako Tomomitsu Geisha / "Oiran Odori" style performance.
With covid times it has been so difficult to coordinate anything safely!
There are so many talented performers all over Japan that had great pleasure performing for foreigners in efforts to share Japanese culture... but with travel restrictions and drastic drop in tourism, many people have lost their ability to share their art!
Equally... many people abroad are unable to experience all that Japan has to offer because of restrictions!
I want to bridge the gap with my 3D VR filming!
In the commentary (Behind the Scenes) we like to also share additional experience with some of the interesting.. sometimes wacky moments that happen pre, during and post shoot!
All has been a growing phase as we try to improve our abilities and techniques!
