It's interesting to me the balance of the Parasol in the foreground with the Ferris Wheel in the background, as well as the round lily-pads throughout.
Background shows the Ferris Wheel at the 1904 St Louis Worlds Fair, the "Louisiana Purchase Exposition", and it's reflection in the pond as well.
