Making Spring/Summer/Vivid Color Handpressed Mineral Eyeshadow

These eyeshadows were a lot of fun to make and I've learned a lot since the first attempt. I've included different variations that I have used as base for the eyeshadows I've made. You can also use the pre made My Mix Press It base from http://tkbtrading.com/

Mineral Eyeshadow Base Recipes:

Base for Light Colored Eyeshadows-
5 Smidgens Talc (Subs:Serecite Mica/Bismuth Oxy./Tapioca Stch.)
1 Smidgen Bismuth Oxychloride (Sub: Serecite Mica)
1 Drop Boron Nitride

Base for Dark Eyeshadows-
1 Smidgen Talc (Or talc subs listed in previous recipe)
1 Smidgen Bismuth Oxychloride(or Sub listed previous)
1 Drop Zinc Oxide

Alt. Base Recipe-
1 Pinch Bismuth Oxychloride
1 PinchTitanium Dioxide
1 Drop Boron Nitride
1-2 Pinch Color/Mica

Alt. Base-
1 Pinch Talc
1 Pinch Bismuth
1 Smidgen Zinc Stearate
4 Pinch Color/Mica

Alt. Base-
1 Smidgen Talc (or Sub.)
1 Drop Each of, Titanium Dioxide, Zinc Oxide, Kaolin Clay
1 Smidgen Color/Mica

Directions for Hand Pressing a Mineral Eyeshadow-
After making your powder with the base and color/mica of your choice, drop a few drops of Isoprophyl alcohol in pan, then 2-3 drops of My Mix Press it Binder liquid from http://tkbtrading.com/. With alcohol and liquid binder in the pan start scooping powder into pan, adding more alcohol and mixing until you have a wet sand consistency and desired fullness of pan. Then set aside to dry slightly. Then use a peice of cloth, pressing ribbon, paper towel/napkin and pressing tile or coin, press shadow several times with even pressure.
