‘90s kids who grew up watching ABC’s Friday night “TGIF” block surely remember Rider Strong. As Shawn Hunter on Boy Meets World, Strong played the best friend to Ben Savage’s Cory Matthews. An opposite of sorts to Cory, Shawn was a kind of “bad boy” with a troubled family dynamic whose storylines were often some of the more serious on the show.

After Boy Meets World wrapped in 2000, Strong appeared in a couple of Hollywood productions, but he's mostly stayed out of the spotlight. There’s a reason you don’t see much of him these days. Hollywood stopped casting this Boy Meets World actor, here's why.
