Vernal and Nevada Falls Hike 7/3/21 Up on the Mist Trail - Back on the John Muir Trail & Mist Trail

Join me in this video as I make my annual trek from the Yosemite Valley floor up to Nevada Fall on 7/3/21. The hike begins at the Mist Trail trailhead at Happy Isles at an elevation of 4035 feet. Then I make my way up to the top of Vernal Fall for an elevation gain of 1009 feet. Next step is the journey up to Nevada Fall for a total elevation gain of 1872 feet. Next is coming back to Vernal Fall via the John Muir Trail making a right at Clark Point. Then coming back down from Vernal Fall Via the Mist Trail. The journey was particularly pleasing this year due to two days of thundershowers prior to our arrival on 7/1/21. This caused the rivers to swell increasing the water flow on the waterfalls. I was expecting much less.
