Have You Tried Painting with Pastels on WOOD?

I always love new and exciting ways to use pastels on different surfaces. I had never tried painting with pastels on wood until the creation of this video. This is Part One of my experiment and it was indeed a lesson in discovery. Even though the process worked, I wanted to get an even better mixture to apply to the wood panels.

I have now created a recipe that works even better and I will share my results in Part 2 that should be coming soon.... so stay tuned! (SEE RECIPE BELOW)

1 cup water
1 cup Regular Gesso
12 Tbs. Marble Dust
Mix well / He uses a blender / Store in Air Tight Container

Video Correction: I mentioned that I used a shammy cloth to blend, but actually I changed to use a piece of Pipe Foam Insulation (a great blending tool). It worked better on this surface.
