Western Music Cowboy Gospel Song A River to Cross Bob and Johnie Terry

Western Music Cowboy Gospel Song A River to Cross Bob and Johnie Terry
This is a western cowboy Gospel song written, sang and rhythm guitar by Bob Terry. Along with Johnie Terry on Stand up Bass. This song is about a Cowboy who falls in a swelling river during a cattle drive and is miraculously rescued. Many western movies portray that Cowboys were often killed in stampedes, but more cowboys drowned in rivers than were killed in stampedes and the river that took most of them is the Red River. This is a Recording from The Western Music Show 2021 virtual Cowboy Campfire Tales, usually held at The Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo. But the whole Stock Show was canceled for 2021. So an online virtual music and poetry event was produced by many of the usual performers for free viewing for the public. Many of the best western performers in the country play at Cowboy Campfire Tales. This is one of the songs that Bob and Johnie Terry contributed to the online show. This song is very reminiscent of the Marty Robbins style western ballads on his gunfighter ballads and Trail songs albums. The complete 2021 Cowboy Campfire Tales show with many Western music and Cowboy poetry performers is scheduled to be online for public viewing the second week in February of 2021.
