The lambs are getting big

Into the sheep first thing. I moved out a group of ewes and lambs in a new field. Then selected out some more ewes and lambs to be moved out, and we moved them into a different field to the first group. After that I started going round feeding all the other ewes and checking their lambs.

Another amazing day today! Onto feeding the Blackface ewes on the hills. A quick tidy up of the cows that are still in one of the sheds. Today one of the ewes had quad lambs (4)!

Time to move all the hogs into a different field with Swift the border collie. Then onto moving another group of ewes and lambs into another field which has more grass. I then topped up the calf feeder with feed for the bigger lambs.

Next day…and a misty start! Feeding the Blackface ewes and checking their lambs. I think they have all finished lambing now. Back to the main farm yard and onto packing all the eggs for the day. Another round of checking and feeding. Some of the lambs are massive! One of the lambs was wondering what the camera was!

A quick look in the sheep shed and there are not many left to lamb - only one pen!

Feeding the cows and checking them. I filled up the calf feeder and got a shot of the inside and how the calves eat out of it. Then I had to get my camera back!
