Pop out words, or words that a child might have said a couple times are key to learning language. Children with autism can springboard off these pop out words and start to gain echoic control and develop language skills. Understanding how to develop language for kids with autism has this as it’s core foundation. Once you start increasing vocalization in toddlers through getting them to say words, you can start to expand the set of words they know and thus, expand communication.

It’s important to note that these tips for increasing language that I’m covering today isn’t going to be easy, or once and done type of thing. Autism and talking requires a lot of practice, dedication, and sometimes it can take weeks or months to see some progress. That’s why I’m providing a wide range of tips from autism fill in songs to early learner programs like my shoebox program. So start implementing these strategies today to start turning autism around for your child or client with autism.
