Casa Grande Ruins

We visited Casa Grande Ruins in December of 2022.

The Casa Grande Ruins are a National Monument located in Pinal County, Arizona. Now home for pigeons, this once majestic structure and surrounding community was home to the ancient people of the Hohokam period, who farmed the Gila Valley.
While walking the grounds, I couldn't help but ponder and wonder about those who built it and left it behind. All information about the ruins was lost over time. Archeologists believe it was possibly used as a place of worship or a community building.
