Tunkwa Provincial Park near Logan Lake, BC REVIEW

We stayed at Tunkwa Provincial Park near Logan Lake, BC for a week and found a hidden gem! This peaceful campground is locally famous for their fishing, clean outhouses, and birdwatching. We got to interview the park managers, Doug and Sue, who told us all about this park, its amenities, and some of the stories about the site.

Tunkwa Provincial Park is located off of highway 97C in British Columbia, about 45 minutes southwest of Kamloops. All campsites are dry camping sites (no hookups), there is no mobile signal (don’t worry, they have a pay phone), and zero road noise, making it the perfect place to disconnect and relax. Fishing is a very popular activity at the park, as well as bird watching. We saw a golden eagle and two bald eagles, among other birds. We loved sitting and listening to the breeze in the trees, too.
