SCOTT JOPLIN - MAPLE LEAF RAG

It's my pleasure to play for you The "Maple Leaf Rag", a ragtime tune written by Scott Joplin in 1899. It is one of the most famous of all ragtime pieces.

One million copies of the sheet music were sold in the composer's lifetime, making Scott Joplin the first musician to sell 1 million copies of a piece of instrumental music.

I've been playing this song on and off since I was a child but in recent weeks I've been practising to iron out the rough spots and commit the song to memory.

Keyboard used today is the STUDIOLOGIC NUMA X PIANO using the SALOON piano model.
