The History of: The Yugoslavian M59 Helmet | Uniform History

In this video we cover the long history of the M59 helmet family from its beginnings in a post war Europe to the war weary lands of the Balkans during the Yugoslav Wars.

Note: Wanted to clarify the use of certain terminology. No intention of starting an argument or fight but regarding categorizing Yugoslavia as part of the Eastern Bloc. Being something of a debated subject we used this as a means to describe it as a member of the Communist/Socialist Bloc and as a 2nd/3rd World Nation. Yes Yugoslavia was non aligned and not part of the USSR nor The Warsaw Pact however many consider it part of the Eastern Bloc much like Albania and East Germany.

Correction: Stated many Eastern Bloc countries were returning to democratic based governments where many were not before becoming communist.
