2024 Strategic Management Retreat Day 1

The Executive Chairman, Zacch A Adedeji Phd has organised a Two-Day Retreat for Directors of the Federal Inland Revenue Service

The objective of this two-day retreat is to provide an opportunity for the directors of the FIRS to deepen strategic alignment, forge a shared vision, ignite innovation, develop concrete action plans and empower effective implementation of the new FIRS Structure.

By achieving these objectives, we aim to strengthen the foundation for unified action, foster collaboration, challenge assumptions, and drive tangible progress towards our goals.

Goals
Comprehensive Understanding: The retreat will help directors grasp the new structure and their role in it, creating clarity and alignment.

Shared Vision: We will develop a common vision for a fair and growth-oriented tax system, fostering unity, purpose, and collaboration across functions.

Launchpad for Implementation: The retreat will prepare directors to lead and execute our strategies, ensuring concrete progress towards our goals.

Methodology
The two-day retreat featured an address by the Executive Chairman, paper presentations, panel discussions, and breakout sessions with engagement from participants.

The breakout session allowed participants examine the strategic plan and the new organogram and suggest pathways for alignment for the Service’s performance. Speakers are senior staff from the Service and revenue experts.
