To use this tool strategically, the design values of the office should be alighed with the values of the employer's brand, whereas functionality, usability and organizational ergonomics are to be derived from the ways of working of each department and each employee.

When these prerequisites are met, there is an emerging body of research on how space impacts communication, collaboration and well-being that can be applied in design before choosing fit-outs, developing 3D models or even planning the layout."
