Low Budget
1. Use a spear you picked up off the floor
2. Perfect Transmute/Augment
Pray for Attack Speed as a Suffix
Prefix doesn't matter
If you miss
Sell the base if it's good for other builds OR
Perfect Regal for second chance OR
Vendor the base and try again next time
If you hit use a regular Regal Orb
3. Omen of Dextral Necromancy + Omen of the Liege + Preserved Jawbone
If you already have attack speed take Spirit Reservation Efficiency
If you don't have attack speed take Attack Speed
If you hit neither and have attack speed that's fine
If you hit neither and don't have attack speed, cry and start over
4. Fill the base
Exalt until there are no open modifier slots
5. Perfect Essence
Perfect Essence of Abrasion for Physical damage builds
Perfect Essence of Flames for Fire damage builds
Perfect Essence of Ice for Cold damage builds
Perfect Essence of Electricity for Lightning damage builds

High Budget
1. Use an Exceptional base (2 sockets before corruption)
2. Perfect Transmute/Augment
Price check blue bases with attack speed first
Any prefix is fine
For Suffix you want Attack Speed
Chance to hit Attack Speed is 0.826% (1 in 121)
If you miss
Sell the base if it's good for other builds OR
Astrid's Creativity + Greater Essence of Haste if it's cheaper than chaos spam OR
Perfect Regal for second chance
If you hit use a regular Regal Orb
3. Depending on the cost of bases and chaos orbs, if you still missed Attack Speed you can still chaos spam for attack speed
4. Omen of Dextral Necromancy + Omen of the Liege + Preserved Jawbone
Hope for Spirit Reservation Efficiency
The spear is still very useable if you miss and you can always Omen of Light it later
5. Fill the base
Just use regular exalts
6. Perfect Essence
Perfect Essence of Abrasion for Physical damage builds
Perfect Essence of Flames for Fire damage builds
Perfect Essence of Ice for Cold damage builds
Perfect Essence of Electricity for Lightning damage builds
7. Socket Astrid's Creativity (If you haven't already)
Celestial Alloy can give you even more attack speed
This can be quite expensive
This is more impactful for a prized pain setup than a crown thorns setup
8. Vaal for a third socket
(or no baals)
(you can totally skip this step, there's a 1 in 4 to brick)
9. Socket her up!
You can safely replace Astrid's Creativity
Warding Rune of Disintigration Breaks armour and is cracked on non-Warbringers
Greater Rune of Alacrity gives skill speed
Soul Core of Azcapa gives you spirit
Fenemus' Rune of Agony gives damage as extra chaos
Saqawal's Rune of the Sky gives damage as extra all elements
