At this point, if you aren't familiar with Kirk Windstein from one of his many bands from the last 40 years, then you must live under a rock. The New Orleans-based guitarist is responsible for writing some of the most memorable riffs that have influenced generations of guitar players. His band Crowbar is one of the first sludge metal bands to ever hit the scene, he also joined forces with Phil Anselmo and Dimebag Daryl of Pantera in Down, he and Jamey Jasta have collaborated in Kingdom Of Sorrow, and most recently Windstein has helped launch a new super group Eye Am which features members from Type O Negative and Down.
