Rolex Submariner 126613LB
When the Submariner hit the market in the 1950s, it was only available in stainless steel. As it was initially intended as a professional diver’s tool watch, the sole use of steel made sense. However, as popularity for the Submariner among collectors of all walks of life gained momentum, it was practical to add other metal options to the collection.
All gold Subs hit the market in the 1960s, followed by two-tone in the 1980s. The Yellow Rolesor Submariner remains in production under ref. 126613LB. In addition to using superior stainless steel and 18k yellow gold, the Rolex 126613 also boasts a larger 41mm case and next-generation cal. 3235 movement.
Paired with a rich blue dial and Cerachrom ceramic bezel, we’d have to agree that the Submariner 126613 is a stunning pick for this video.
Rolex Datejust 41 126331
Rolex introduced their own 18k rose gold finish called “Everose” in 2005. A two-tone edition called Everose Rolesor joined the lineup shortly after pairing the stunning rose gold finish with Rolex’s tough 904L-grade Oystersteel. This contemporary take on the two-tone Rolex is sleek, modern, and perfectly on-trend with current watch tastes.
The Datejust 41 126331 pairs the two-tone finish with a handsome Wimbledon dial featuring black and green Roman numeral hour markers. The 41mm case, sharply fluted bezel, and silky Oyster bracelet are the perfect companions for the contemporary two-tone finish.
Rolex Datejust 126233
Our list wouldn’t be complete without at least one classic Datejust 36 in steel and yellow gold. Ref. 126233 hails from the current generation of Datejust watches, complete with a newer-style case and bracelet, Chromalight lume, and the newest cal. 3235 Perpetual movement with a longer power reserve.
The two-tone finish is referred to by Rolex as “Yellow Rolesor” and pairs the brand’s proprietary Oystersteel with 18k yellow gold. Both metals are forged in-house and are of the highest quality on the luxury market.
This Datejust is the two-tone Rolex in its most classic form while bringing a host of modern amenities to the table.
Rolex Explorer 124273
Since its inception in the 1950s, the Explorer has been a tough, ready-for-anything mountaineer’s tool watch. As a result, the collection has only ever been available in durable stainless steel. However, that all changed in 2021 when the very first two-tone Explorer hit the market via ref. 124273.
Easily one of the most talked-about watches of 2021, this Yellow Rolesor Explorer is the perfect addition to our list of notable two-tone luxury watches. It boasts the collection’s original case size of 36mm, the classic 3/6/9 dial configuration, Chromalight lume, and the next-generation cal. 3230 Perpetual movement.
Rolex Sky-Dweller 326933
The Sky-Dweller is easily one of the brand’s most complicated timepieces. It employs the cal. 9001 Perpetual movement, complete with an annual calendar, GMT register, date mechanism, and centrally-mounted hours, minutes, and seconds. The movement is linked directly to the Ring Command bezel, gaining the wearer access to each of the movement’s functions.

Ref. 326933 in steel and gold opts for a classy white dial and a sporty flat link Oyster bracelet. This watch is undeniably modern. Part dress and part sport, the Yellow Rolesor Sky-Dweller is one of our top picks.
Rolex GMT Master II 16713
The GMT Master II is one of the most iconic two-tone Rolex watches on the market. Ref. 16713 is an older-model example produced until around the mid-2000s. The example we’ve got out hands on here is a cult favorite referred to as the Rolex Root Beer.
It pairs the steel and gold finish with a unique brown and gold bezel and matching brown dial and is a very prized collector’s item among Rolex enthusiasts.
