The Story of Elvis Presley as told by D.J. Fontana

In this video Joe interviews D.J. Fontana, Elvis Presley's original drummer/session musician. This story starts after Scotty Moore, Bill Black, and Elvis, recorded "That's Alright Mamma" at Sun Studio's before they added drums to the band.

This video is part of a series called The Musicians Hall of Fame Backstage - Vault Series. This is a series of video's that were recorded up to two years prior to the Musicians Hall of Fame opening to the public in 2006.
