Painting upholstery with chalk paint || Furniture flip DIY || Know Can Do

I tried painting upholstery with chalk paint! I transformed this fabric chair from trash to treasure in this DIY furniture flip.

I will show you how to take a faded, sunbleached chair, and paint it so it is colorful, soft, and plush. This is a great alternative to reupholstery, and cheaper and easier too!

In this video I used Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in Burgundy and Debbies’ DIY Design Liquid Patina for the top coat seal. I used sanding sponges in between layers to work the paint into the fibers of the fabric, and to soften up the paint so the chair ended up soft and smooth (rather than crunchy).

TOTAL COST: $36 -- Not bad for a totally refurbished chair! I was happy to save this one from a landfill, and hopefully will be able to give it a new home after listing it for sale on Facebook Marketplace.
