BOBI WINE BECOMES THE PEOPLE'S PRESIDENT ON HEROES DAY – HERE'S WHY

In today’s video, we highlight the powerful voices of Ugandans who chose to celebrate Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu (Bobi Wine), the People’s President, on National Heroes Day (June 9th) as an act of resistance. For decades, this day has been used to commemorate those who fought in the bush war that brought President Museveni to power. But increasingly, Ugandans see it as a mockery—a betrayal of the very ideals those heroes fought for.

🔴 Why Bobi Wine?

A symbol of hope and resistance against oppression

A leader who sacrificed fame, wealth, and safety to fight for justice

A voice that awakened Ugandans to reclaim their power
