Both matebook d15 and d15 are very similar to each other, since they have the exact same number of ports with 2 usb 2.0, 1 usb 3.0, 1 USB-c, a minijack for our headphones and also a fingerprint reader in the power button that allows us to unlock our laptop very quickly. Apart from that, this two laptops also share the same RAM memory which is 8GB and the processor which is a Ryzen 5 3500 U, this means that in both of the laptops you shouldn't have any problems with very demanding programs or games.

Now moving on into the differences that these laptops have, we should know that the matebook d14 has more internal storage than the d15, in which the matebook d14 comes with 512GB SSD and the d15 comes with 256GB SSD, and it also has another option in which you can have 256GB SSD + 1TB In hard drive; but we think the best choice in terms of storage is the d14 with 512GB SSD because we are talking about a very fast storage and It is also a huge storage capacity for most people.

Another great difference between these laptops is the battery since the d14 comes with a 56wh battery which is going to give us up to 9 or 10 hours of normal use, but on the other hand the matebook d15, which has a bigger screen, has just a 46wh battery that will give us just 5 or 6 hours of normal use. This is very strange because anyone could assume that a laptop with a bigger screen should have a better battery due to the extra battery consumption that the laptop is doing due to having a bigger screen. Despite this we can clearly understand why the d14 has better specs than the d15, this is because of the price difference between both of these laptops, where the d14 sells for 1100 dollars and the d15 sells for about 700 dollars.

Lastly, I want to say that wether to buy the d15 or the d14 will depend on what you need the laptop for, for example if you need a portable laptop for your work and you need a great battery autonomy I will suggest the matebook d14 since it has a smaller screen than the d15 and it is also lighter with just 1.38kg against the 1.62kg of the d15. However, if you need the laptop to play games, or watch movies from your home I will suggest the d15 due to it's big screen that is perfect for those activities.
