If you are managing #Project one thing is for sure. You are going to have CR - #changerequest along the way. It does not matter you are doing a #predictive or #Agile life cycle. You have to deal with the CR. . #Agile method uses a light approach to accept change. They have a Sprint review for it. A stakeholder can request change and it is managed accordingly. #Traditional life cycle followed the more formal procedures to document and manage CR. The procedure is known as a change control procedure. All CR must follow this procedure. It has the following steps.
#1 A Change is requested by any stakeholder.
#2 PM - Project Manager evaluates that CR. If he thinks this CR is unnecessary. He documents it, and communicate it with the stakeholder. If the project manager thinks this CR must move forward then
#3 PM analyzes the impact of CR on Project Constraints.
#4 PM shares this impact analysis and his recommendation to CCB - change control board.
#5 CCB review CR according to its impact
#6 CCB approve or deny CR. If CR is denied it is documented and communicated to stakeholders.
#7 If CCB approved it goes to direct and managed work and implemented.
#8 Once implemented it is communicated to stakeholders and documented.
