Suicide Sue - Making of Oxytocin
November 2020. We have the idea of writing a song about an initiatory journey. The starting point is this hypnotic beat on which we lay down 4 chords. The rest is just words that are carefully assembled, guitar riffs, fantomatic samples, layers of Mellotron and a slight change of tone leading to a sort of bridgy chorus.
As simple as that, you might say! Well, not quite. It took us 7 months altogether to finish the song and hit the studio. Here's a hint of the process which led to the title track of our debut EP, 'Oxytocin'.
