This is a side by side comparison of a horizontal (16:9) to vertical (9:16) conversion.

There are journalists and newsrooms across the world making these to serve a variety of broadcast and online platforms and their various aspect ratios. Not to mention 4:5, square and maybe even U shaped. I made up U shaped but it could happen!
